Bay Area Arborist Cooperative, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website bayareaarborist.com (the “Site”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Site. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms — if you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

These Terms cover your use of the website itself. They don't create, alter, or replace any separate agreement — written or verbal — you enter into with an independent member business for actual tree service work. Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

Anything on the Site — service descriptions, tree care tips, blog posts, photos, or general information — is provided for general informational purposes only. It isn't a substitute for an on-site assessment by a qualified arborist. Tree work can be dangerous and highly site-specific; please don't attempt tree care or removal based solely on something you read here. Contact us, or another qualified professional, for guidance specific to your property.

4. Requesting Service

Submitting our contact form is an inquiry, not a booking or a contract. When you submit the form, we'll reach out to discuss your needs and connect you with an independent member business to perform the work.

5. Our Role as a Referral Network

Bay Area Arborist Cooperative, Inc. is a referral network. We connect customers with independent, member-owned tree service businesses — we do not perform tree service work ourselves. Any actual tree work, and any agreement covering its scope, pricing, scheduling, and terms, is made directly between you and the independent member business — whether verbally or in writing — not with Bay Area Arborist Cooperative, Inc.

Each member business is independently licensed and insured. Bay Area Arborist Cooperative, Inc. also holds its own California contractor's license (License #707545), but holding that license does not make us a party to, or liable for, the work performed by any individual member business. The member business you work with is solely responsible for the quality, safety, pricing, and outcome of the tree service performed.

6. Availability of the Site & Services

We do our best to keep the Site accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure. Service availability, scheduling, and pricing may change without notice and can depend on factors like weather, permitting, and crew availability.

7. Our Content & Intellectual Property

Everything on the Site — text, photos (including before/after service photos), logos, and design — belongs to Bay Area Arborist Cooperative, Inc. unless otherwise noted. Please don't copy, reproduce, or reuse our content elsewhere without our written permission.

8. Third-Party Links

If the Site links to third-party sites (for example, social media or review platforms), we aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Bay Area Arborist Cooperative, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. As explained in Section 5, we are a referral network: we do not perform tree service work, and we are not a party to, and assume no liability for, any service agreement, work performed, or damages arising from work performed by an independent member business. Those matters are governed by your agreement with that member business, applicable law, and their own insurance.

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
