Bay Area Arborist Cooperative was founded in 1995 on the principle that cooperation, rather than competition, allows us to provide the premier tree care service in the Bay Area.
Our members are highly skilled professionals, most of whom have over 30 years of experience. We offer extensive expertise in proper species selection, tree care, and maintenance methods.
OUR GOALS:
To promote proper tree trimming practices with an emphasis on tree health, beauty and safety; providing educational materials and training as needed.
To provide a safe and healthy work environment for workers; minimizing and preventing on-the-job accidents.
To utilize ecologically sound methods, integrated pest management, and constructive utilization of wood and brush by-products.
To ensure all members comply with state and local business regulations and ordinances.
To work in the spirit of cooperation rather than competition.

In Memory of Ted Kipping - 1945 - 2019
Ted Kipping was the founder and President of the Bay Area Arborist Cooperative and a renowned horticulturalist. His genial character and vast knowledge made his monthly slide show presentations a staple in the community for 38 years.
Ted was a lifetime member of a dozen horticultural organizations and a longstanding member of the International Society of Arboriculture and the American Society of Consulting Arborists.
All the founding members of the Bay Area Arborist Cooperative had the honor of working alongside Ted. He graciously shared his expertise and taught us how to care for trees with a level of generosity that is difficult to express in words. We continue to apply his teachings every day in his honor.
We will always remember Ted for his leadership, knowledge, and skill in the arboriculture industry.

We provide tree services across much of the San Francisco Bay Area, but not all of it. As we are located in San Francisco, we primarily serve southern Marin County, western portions of Contra Costa & Alameda counties, San Francisco, and most of San Mateo County.
In you are unsure if we serve your area, feel free to ask.

Unfortunately, no. We aren’t currently able to take requests to retrieve cats from trees.
